It's been a long time but I'm back for Saturday Spankings!

It's been simply ages since I've participated in Saturday Spankings. I can't wait to read everyone's snippets. I hope you enjoy mine, it's from my new book A Firm-Handed Man.

Blurb:

After a night out with friends, twenty-five-year-old Mikala Black makes an extremely foolish decision that puts her in danger and ultimately results in her being left stranded by the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. When her plight is finally noticed by the driver of a passing car, her rescuer turns out to be Andrew Weatherly, an old high school classmate.

Andrew is no longer the boy she remembers as her chemistry lab partner, however. He is a tall, handsome, confident man now, and it sets Mikala's heart racing when he scolds her for her reckless behavior. Despite her best efforts to respond to his lecture with nothing but indignation, Andrew's declaration that she is in need of a long, hard spanking leaves her intensely aroused.

Mikala has dreamed for years of finding a man who will not be afraid to take her in hand, and she cannot help wondering if Andrew would follow through on his threat. She soon learns the hard way that he will not hesitate to bare her bottom and spank her soundly when she pushes him too far with her defiant attitude.

Over the coming weeks, a romance blossoms between them, and though Mikala often finds herself with a bright-red, sore bottom, being kept in line by a firm-handed man is everything she hoped it would be. But when the demands of Andrew's job put a strain on their relationship, will Mikala's over-the-top reaction end up tearing apart everything they've built together?

The snippet I have chosen today is from a scene where Andrew is driving Mikki home after he finds her stranded by the side of the road. She is explaining to him how she managed to be there in the middle of the night without her bag or shoes.

“You’re not my father, or my boyfriend.”
“I know; if I was, you wouldn’t be sitting comfortably right now. You probably wouldn’t be sitting comfortably for the rest of the week.”
Mikki’s jaw dropped and for a moment she didn’t answer. She wasn’t going to show him how much he’d rattled her. “As if I’d let that happen,” she scoffed finally. Inside, her heart was racing in a not unpleasant way.

“It wouldn’t be up to you,” he said.

Excerpt:

“Well,” he said slowly. “I don’t really know what happened but I do feel like I’ve come in at the end of a movie. Want to fill me in?”
Mikala nodded. She couldn’t blame him for being curious but where did she even start? As she tried to put her thoughts together she realized how ridiculous it was going to come across, mainly because the whole situation was ridiculously insane. It was probably best to be a little vague. “I was out with my friends. I’ve been a bit lonely and they were trying to cheer me up. It wasn’t a big deal, really.”
“So you’re single?”
Yes, single, no partner, no family, all by myself. As pathetic as I look tonight, he probably guessed that already. Drew probably had a stunning wife and two perfect kids at home waiting for him. “Um, yeah, I am, obviously,” She couldn’t stop the snort that escaped her at the irony of the situation. Great, way to look even more attractive.
“Nothing wrong with that, I was just curious is all. I mean, I’m single as well,” he said with a friendly smile. “I get loneliness.”
“Oh, so you’re single, Drew, that’s great.” Really? Did she really just say that? Change the subject. “What was I saying?”
“You were telling me how you ended up where I found you in the middle of nowhere, at night.”
“Right, that. Okay, well, I went out with my friends but I wasn’t having the greatest of times. They were dancing but I wasn’t comfortable because my feet hurt.”
“Uh huh, so it wasn’t so much that you were sick but sick of being there.”
“Well, kind of, I guess. I was at the bar and this guy who I thought was nice bought me a few drinks.” She looked across to Drew’s face and his lips were set in a thin line. “He was really nice, at least that’s what I thought at the time.”
“Oh, I’m sure.”
“Anyway, I said I was going to get a cab home because I didn’t want to ruin my friends’ evening and he offered to drive me.”
“You just met this guy and you had both been drinking, yet you got into a car with him?”
“Of course not!” she said. “He wasn’t drinking, he was the designated driver.”
Andrew shook his head. “So much better. And your friends just let you walk out of the bar by yourself, with a stranger?”
“You’re missing the point, he was nice. Well, he actually wasn’t nice but he seemed nice, which was what I was saying.” Why wasn’t he getting it? She’d had a lapse of judgment.
“So how did this nice man end up dropping you off in the middle of nowhere?” He glanced across at her. “He didn’t hurt you, Mikki, did he?”
“No, he didn’t hurt me. He did drive the wrong way though and he did think he was going to—um, well, he misunderstood the situation. Thankfully I was able to persuade him to stop the car and I ran. Well, I ran for about a second and a half, I didn’t have shoes because I took them off when I got into the car. Not that the shoes I had would have been any help in the running department.”
“That’s how you managed to leave your bag and shoes in the car?”
She rolled her eyes dramatically. “I didn’t have time to do a stock take. I just wanted to get out of there before he changed his mind about letting me go and took off again with me in the car. It was self-preservation.”
“Oh, Mikki, that was such a dangerous and silly thing to do. In fact, silly isn’t a strong enough word. It was ridiculous. What if he had decided to just take what he wanted? You may not have been able to get him to stop the car and even when he decided it was time to stop, he may not have let you escape.”
“But none of that happened and he did stop. I was a bit surprised too, but when I got really angry he backed down.”
“You were very lucky but I hope you learned a lesson. You know I am really surprised that a twenty-five-year-old woman didn’t have more sense.”

I'm very excited to host Rayanna Jamison on my blog with her new book Collared.

Welcome Rayanna! I can't wait to read abut your book Collared.  I just love your cover...

Here's the blurb...

Diamond Barrett has spent the last four years hiding in plain sight, working as a show girl in Las Vegas, trying to forget the painful memories of her mother's untimely death. When the details of the gruesome accident finally surface on the morning of her 25th birthday, Diamond's pain leads her to a series of bad choices that result in the loss of her job.
Now what?
Paxton Donovan's very presence exudes dominance and captures the attention of everyone around him. He has spent years creating his brand as a business owner and professional dominant. There is no time for anything that interferes with the order with which he runs his business and life. Structure, order, rules, discipline. Business without pleasure. No distractions.
But nothing could have prepared Pax for Diamond as their two worlds collide and both of their perfectly ordered and quiet lives combust. Will their undeniable attraction and intense passion be worth the risk of pain and heartache as they shatter their safe lives?

And an excerpt...

“I don’t want to eat. Can you just tell me what you have to say? Do you have a plan to get my job back?”
Pax scoffed at her. It was actually a full on laugh. “No. Once Jason makes up his mind about something, it’s done. There’s no going back. Man’s as stubborn as a pack mule. At least when it comes to business decisions,” he added as an afterthought.
“Oh.” Diamond frowned, and picked up a piece of toast, nervously ripping the crust into tiny pieces.
“I need a new girl. We need some fresh meat to keep up interest and provide regular… entertainment.”
Her eyes blazed, and she dropped her toast, suppressing the urge to pick up her steaming hot coffee and throw it in his face. “I am not a whore! And furthermore, I’m not desperate. I have options you know, plenty of them.” She actually only had one that she knew of, but he didn’t need to know that.
Pax stood, towering over her. He looked about as angry as she felt.  “What are you talking about? Nobody called you a whore or even insinuated as much. You need to chill, girl. You might still be a little bit drunk or something, because you are making zero sense.”
“Oh yeah? Pax’s girls? Ring a bell? Isn’t that basically what you just asked me to be?”
His eyebrows crinkled high into his forehead, and he frowned. “Well, yes. But it doesn’t mean what you seem to think it means. I don’t think we’re on quite the same page here.”
“Oh, really? Enlighten me then.”
“Only if you dial back the attitude.”
“Fine.” It was her turn to cross her arms. She copied his stance from earlier and looked at him crossly. “I’m listening.”
“Rojo, if you didn’t know is a mild BDSM club with a focus on spanking. My girls dance the same as you did here. They don’t do anything else, other than serve the customers drinks and keep them happy and comfortable—and no, that doesn’t mean what you seem to think it means. The only difference is, well for one thing, I take care of my girls. Comped rooms, paid meals, monthly allowance, health insurance, all that jazz. I also pay better than Jason, but don’t tell him I said that. My girls also follow my rules. They keep a curfew, they eat healthy, they work out, and they show up on time. I keep them on a short leash. I want them in tip-top shape at all time. The kind of stunt you pulled last night would not be tolerated.”
“Right I get it. You’d toss me out on my ass—just like Jason is.”
“No. My girls mess up—they deal with the consequences. If you had been mine last night—and that was a regular occurrence—yeah, I’d get rid of you. You’d be a liability, and I’d have no choice. But unlike Jason, I pay attention to things like extenuating circumstances, and according to the things I learned from your file, coupled with the things I saw in yesterday’s paper—for you, last night certainly qualified as such.”
Pax was making it really hard to hate him the way she wanted to, and she kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. She couldn’t get past the idea that she was missing something. Something important.
“Thank you.” She was thankful for the kindness he was showing her, and the care he had apparently shown last night. “So, are you offering me a job?”
“On one condition.”
She stayed silent, waiting for him to continue.
“You’re tomorrow night’s entertainment. And that means, you accept the consequences for your mistakes last night. On stage. In front of a crowd.”

A bit about Rayanna...

Writing has been a passion of mine since I was 9 years old, and I always dreamed of becoming an author, but life happens and sometimes that first step seems like a giant leap. I credit a life changing move from the Oregon to Utah in the fall of 2013 as the catalyst that began my writing career.
I now reside in Southern Utah with my husband, my two children, two dogs, my mother, my 90 year old grandfather and a lizard named Leo.
I write what I love to read, which is fun romantic stories about submission in its many forms, and often joke that my stories get slightly dirtier with each one I write. When I am not writing, I enjoy my passions, which include cooking, drinking good coffee and good wine, shopping for crazy knee socks, celebrating with sushi for every occasion, and most of all spending time with my friends and family.

It's time for some spanking hotness!

It feels good to be back with everyone again and I just loved reading all of your spicy tidbits last week.
This week for my eight sentences, I'm sharing the morning after Sage and Cliff's first hot night together.  Sometimes when friends sleep together it gets awkward...

“I did have a great time last night, you are a very good lo—you’re good at sex,” she said bluntly.
“Oh, you are cruising for it, little girl.” He shook his head and narrowed his eyes as he tried to figure out what on earth was going on in her head.
“And there we have it, little girl. You still think of me as a child.”
“I think of you as a very womanly woman who is acting very much like a rude child and who if not very careful, is going to end up being treated like one. Do you understand what I’m saying?”
Sage’s face blushed as pink as her tank top. “Yes, I’m sorry if you thought I was being rude. I guess, well, I guess I’m just not very good at this one, night—”
“You better not finish that sentence. That is not what that was.”

Excerpt

Cliff slapped her bottom hard. This was escalating fast and she wasn’t going to be able to stop it. It didn’t hurt to try though. “You can’t spank me because I’m upset! Please, Cliff!”
The screen door squealed and then banged shut behind them as he strode into the living room and up the stairs to the bedroom. She tried to fight; to kick and wriggle, but she was held firm. Sage punched the solid back which only earned her another hard slap.
“I’m not spanking you…” Cliff started to say, stepping into the bedroom they had slept in together a short time ago.
“Well good, just because you’re my husband, doesn’t mean you can manhandle me whenever you want to,” Sage interrupted.
“I was going to say, I’m not going to spank you for being upset. I am going to spank you, because you deserve it,” Cliff said, returning the favour and cutting her off before she was finished. He let her down and sat on the bed, still keeping her firmly between his knees.
“I don’t want you to.” Sage tried to step away but Cliff had her in a vice like grip.
“Hmm. Do I care at this moment?” Cliff was almost talking to himself. “Nope, not interested.”
Within a moment, Sage was facing the carpet, her long brown hair over her face, in her eyes and puddling on the floor right next to Cliff’s dress shoes. She hadn’t noticed that he wasn’t wearing his boots. She’d never seen him in proper going out shoes. “Ow!” A hard smack landed on her rear end, the slight sting from the previous couple of whacks suddenly igniting the burn and starting a fire that was hard to think through. He wasn’t stopping at all, just a barrage of heavy handed slaps that didn’t let up. She couldn’t stop thinking, even though her legs were kicking and her voice was yelling blue murder; this man was wearing suit pants and nice shoes. This man who was always comfortable in jeans and cowboy boots had put on dress shoes and a suit and he’d done that for her. He was making an effort here. Could she have been wrong? Was he doing all this because he liked her? “Stop, Cliff! I think I get it now!”
“Sure you do.”
Instead of stopping, he paused, giving her a slight hope that he had finished, but he was just raising the dress she’d been wearing and lowering the scrap of lace that was all but covering her stinging bottom. “Oh please, Cliff, let me explain! Ahhh, please, that hurts!”
“Good, I’m glad it’s hurting because I wasn’t aiming to tickle you.” Every word spoken was punctuated by another swat to her bottom. “Let me let you in on a little secret. Not only women have feelings!”

I'm Back for Saturday Spankings!

I haven't visited Saturday Spankings for a while but I'm really glad to be back.  It's been a long time between drinks but I finally have something new to share. I'm also looking forward to reading everyone else's snippets.

The snippet I've chosen today is lighthearted. Things are not always as fluid and perfect as we'd like them to be in real life, especially when we've had a couple of drinks.

When she turned, Cliff was naked, except for his socks and a tangled pair of jeans at his ankles. He grabbed at one side and then the other, hopping up and down while he did an indelicate dance of desperation, trying to free himself from his denim trap.
Sage giggled, wanting to help but not quite knowing what she could do.
“Funny is it?” he asked with shortened breath.
“Pretty much.” Sage jumped when his hand shot out and slapped her naked bottom. She was still smiling though. “Ooh, that hurt.”

Excerpt:

“That—does—it.” Cliff advanced on Sage with purpose.
She backed slowly away but his intention was shining clearly in his eyes. “I wasn’t going to shoot you; I was just trying to scare you away.” She panicked and her voice rose an octave.
“Save it.”
The phone rang again and she took a step towards it.
“That’s the last thing you want to do.”
“I have to get it; it might be important.”
Cliff was on her now. He turned her around and bent her over the well padded sofa. “I’m going to go with the gut instinct I had when I first read this stupid want ad, I’m going to spank some sense into your stubborn backside. Then we’re going to talk, and listen to each other and you are going to tell me the truth, otherwise we’ll start again right here.”
Sage struggled, trying desperately to get away. “Stop, you can’t do this.”
“Now that’s funny, seems to me like I already am doing this.” His left arm pinned her firmly while his right arm took aim. He ignored her protests and dodged her kicking feet as he brought his hand down sharply on the seat of her jeans. “There are so many reasons I want to spank you right now that I can’t count,” he said, his hand still bouncing off her wriggling rear.
“Go ahead then, doesn’t bother me, when you’re done, I’ll still have to do what I have to do.” Sage kept fighting even though she knew her struggles were futile.
“Keep it up.”
“That’s it?” Every smack was thudding heavily but she couldn’t really say it was hurting her very much, except for the irreparable damage that was being done to her assaulted pride. “That’s all
you got?” Maybe if he realized this was pointless, he would stop.
“No, clearly if you’re still smarting off you need more; or maybe your pants are just too thick.”
Seriously? Did the man read minds? “No, they’re not.” Sage let go of the cushions she’d been clutching and tried to hang onto the waist band of her jeans but she was too late, he’d already unbuttoned and unzipped them and they were going south. All she could do was try and keep her panties up but it seemed he had no intention of removing those anyway. His hand was once again
clapping off her now burning bottom and the thin layer of her underwear was no protection at all.
“Please, Cliff, please, it hurts.” It really did, she hated though that she was such a baby with pain.

Why couldn’t she just stick it out without giving in?

Come and Join me for Saturday Spankings!

Hi everyone. Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends. Today I'm going to share a snippet again from The One She LOVES. This week I'm going to continue on from where the last snippet ended.

Crystal was much taller and had no problem wrestling even a struggling Carol over her knee. “I tried to talk to you.” Crystal emphasized every word with a sharp smack on Carol’s bare behind. “I have to tell you though, missy, if you can’t act like an adult, I don’t even want to discuss having another baby now.”

“Ow, you’re hurting me!” Carol kicked her legs and wriggled in her effort to escape her girlfriend’s stinging hand.

“Did you tell me to make you?” Crystal asked, slapping Carol’s rosy cheeks.

Blurb:

Carol and Crystal love the lives they share in Corbin's Bend with their nine year old daughter, Brianna. Carol is a taken in hand bundle of fun but she is not a Susie homemaker. Their house is often times a mess. She'd rather spend time living life than cleaning. She loves Crystal and Brianna and she loves spending time with her friends. She often finds herself over her girlfriend's knee for a bare bottomed spanking for getting her priorities wrong.

Crystal is a fire-fighter and the head of their loving home. She's fit, neat and organized. Apart from her career, Carol and Brianna are her world, and while she knows friendships are important, she feels somewhat threatened by how much her girl shares with her friends and not with her.

When Carol decides she wants a baby, it throws their house into a spin. Crystal isn't sure and wants to wait. When Carol's three naughty friends from Leading the Way (4th in the Corbin's Bend Series) see how disappointed their friend is, they help the young mom go on a sperm search with hilarious results. Only problem is, Crystal knows nothing about their hijinks. Can a punishment fix this mess? Or will what Crystal sees as disloyalty, tear them apart?

Saturday Spankings!

Hi everyone, happy Saturday! Today I'm going to share a different scene from Monkey Business. Next week I'll move on to share my latest Corbin's Bend story, The One She LOVES, my first F/F.

In this piece, Summer and Ben are a couple and Summer is about to get her very first bare spanking.

“You want me naked?” Oh lord, she didn't want the first time he saw her naked to be like this.

“Yes. You're a grown up girl about to get a grown up spanking. I want you naked.”

Oh how she'd longed to hear those words, just not quite in that context. Her hands trembled against the hem of the shirt for a second. “Couldn't you do it for me?”

“No. I want you to do as you're told.”

Summer took a deep breath, yanked the t-shirt over her head, practically threw herself over his knee, all the time trying to keep her legs together. A warm hand rested on her lower back and it calmed her a little, until his other hand tapped gently at each thigh.

“Open them.” he said gently.

Blurb:

Summer receives the opportunity of a lifetime when she scores a placement in a volunteer program in a zoo.

Ben, as Summer’s mentor sees a bright and talented young woman who needs some structure and discipline.

Will Ben be able to help Summer reach her potential? Has Summer met her match?

BLUSHING BOOKS

Excerpt:

In this excerpt, Summer is trying hard to get to work on time with her friend Poppy in tow, but things don't go according to plan...

Summer couldn't believe that they actually managed to get out of the house on time. Early even. She'd had a weird feeling that something was going to go wrong although she couldn't quite put her finger on what exactly that was. Maybe that wasn't unusual considering she if it was going to happen it hadn't happened yet.

          “What's wrong?”

“Nothing really, I guess, I don't know. I was so excited about today and now I just feel weird, like something's off.”

“Um thanks, I love you too.”

“I didn't mean you Pops. I can't explain it.” The words were no sooner out of her mouth when Summer heard a siren behind her.

“Uh oh.” Poppy said. Did you just run a red light or something?”

“No. I've been very careful.” Summer carefully pulled over and waited for the officer to come over to the car.

He tapped on the closed window. “Open please.” His voice was muffled through the glass but she heard what he said and was quick to comply.

“Is there a problem Officer?” she asked with a shaky voice.           “Im afraid there is Miss. License and registration please.”           Summer opened the glove compartment and produced both. She'd been listening when she was told to keep her papers close.

“Step out of the car M'am.” he said.

“Why? I didn't do anything.” Summer wasn't trying to be difficult and her tone wasn't rude in anyway, she just didn't understand, she'd been careful.

           “Step. Out. Of. The car.”

“I don't think we're being punked here Sum,  you better do it.”

“You can leave the vehicle too Miss.”

“Am I in trouble?” Summer asked. “I didn't do anything.”

“This time.  Miss you have unpaid fines, your license has been suspended.”

“Oh no! The fines. I completely forgot!”

“I'm sorry Miss, but I can't let you drive this car until you pay your fines and have your license reinstated.”

“But I have to. You don't understand! I have to get to work.”

“I'm sorry Miss, rules are rules.”

Summer burst into tears. “If you let me drive to work just this once I can pay the fines and I won't drive my car again until I know the payments clear.”

              “No driving.”

“Can I drive the car?” Poppy asked.

“Do you have your license?” Summer looked at Poppy hopefully. She was going to be late on the single most important day ever. Tears rolled down her face. Not because Ben was going to be angry, although he was going to be angry, that was for sure but she was more upset that she'd let him down. Ben, Cher and everyone else that got involved in something that had been her idea.

“Well not on me exactly.” Poppy winced at Summer, rubbing her friend's arm to try and comfort her.  “I didn't think I was going to need it but I promise Officer I do have one.”

“You can't drive a car unless you have your license on you.”

“Ok, here's the thing. We have a problem. A big problem. We need to get to the zoo and we need to do it quickly,” Pops said.

“That's your problem Miss, not mine.”

Summer just cried harder.  Not only were they late but Pops was going to keep arguing with this highway patrol guy until he arrested them.  “Pops, it's ok.”

“No I know it doesn't have to be your problem but I know that you wouldn't have chosen this job if you didn't want to help people. I can see it in your face. You have kind eyes. Very blue.”

“I'll ask you to close up your car Miss. You can get someone to come and pick it up or you can have it towed.” he said ignoring Poppy's compliments.

Monkey Business on Saturday Spankings!

Happy Saturday everyone! Today for my snippet I'm going to share a little more of Monkey Business.

Last week, Summer was trying to explain why she hadn't driven her car to work, but it wasn't making a lot of sense. Ben, sensing something wasn't right kept pushing. Finally Summer admits that she couldn't drive because she'd been drinking at a club.

Summer picked up her bag, it was time to get out of there. The look that Ben gave her was rattled her equilibrium.
“Not yet.” He narrowed his eyes at her. “How old do you have to be to get into this club you went to Summer?”
          “Twenty one.”
          “How old are you?”
          “Almost twenty.”
          “Where is it?”
          “Where's what?”
          “The fake ID.”
