It's that time again! Saturday Spankings :)

I hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday Morning! Today I'm going to continue on from where I left off last week. Mikki had just pushed her luck and slapped Drew's face. Not very smart as she was to find out.

He said it with a chuckle but there was no laughter in those blue eyes. She had seen that look before in the countless spanking scenes she had watched over and over. She, Mikala Black, was about to get it but it was scarier than she imagined. “No, now look, I’m really sorry,” she said, putting her hands up to ward him off.
“Oh, I just bet you are—now—after the fact.”
“See, it’s been a very disturbing evening and—” Christ, once again she found herself over his shoulder. Did he not realize she wasn’t waif-like? “Wait, I need to explain.”
“Not interested at this point, little girl. I have contained myself all evening but you slapped me and now the decision has been made.”
“But you smacked me! Twice!”
“Oh, don’t you even,” he said, his hand connecting with her bottom so much harder than it had the other times. “Those were pats. That was a slap and a face slap, you are about to learn, is considered in my book to be laying down the gauntlet.” He sat on her couch and yanked her over his knees, his hand immediately spanking her wriggling bottom solidly several times.
“Ouch, that’s too hard! Drew, you’re hurting me.”

“Good. I hope I make your bottom burn so much that every time you sit on it you remember what got you in this position.”

Blurb:

After a night out with friends, twenty-five-year-old Mikala Black makes an extremely foolish decision that puts her in danger and ultimately results in her being left stranded by the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. When her plight is finally noticed by the driver of a passing car, her rescuer turns out to be Andrew Weatherly, an old high school classmate.

Andrew is no longer the boy she remembers as her chemistry lab partner, however. He is a tall, handsome, confident man now, and it sets Mikala's heart racing when he scolds her for her reckless behavior. Despite her best efforts to respond to his lecture with nothing but indignation, Andrew's declaration that she is in need of a long, hard spanking leaves her intensely aroused.

Mikala has dreamed for years of finding a man who will not be afraid to take her in hand, and she cannot help wondering if Andrew would follow through on his threat. She soon learns the hard way that he will not hesitate to bare her bottom and spank her soundly when she pushes him too far with her defiant attitude.

Over the coming weeks, a romance blossoms between them, and though Mikala often finds herself with a bright-red, sore bottom, being kept in line by a firm-handed man is everything she hoped it would be. But when the demands of Andrew's job put a strain on their relationship, will Mikala's over-the-top reaction end up tearing apart everything they've built together?

The snippet I have chosen today is from a scene where Andrew is driving Mikki home after he finds her stranded by the side of the road. She is explaining to him how she managed to be there in the middle of the night without her bag or shoes.

It's Saturday Spankings time again!

It's that time again. I love catching up with everyones snippets. Today I'm once again featuring my new book A Firm-Handed Man. In this snippet, Drew and Mikki are arguing and things go downhill fast...

“You can lose the cockiness, you smartass,” Mikki shouted as she spun to face him. Now she was angry, more so now that she could see the smugness in Drew’s eyes. “I know this isn’t funny! I was there!” Then it happened. She didn’t mean to do it, all she wanted was to get that look off Drew’s face but her hand, her whole arm really had a mind of its own. It happened so fast. Mikki stepped forward and swung her arm so hard that her hand connected with the side of Drew’s stubble-shadowed face, leaving a bright red imprint of her hand. Crap. Well, she achieved what she set out to do; the look was gone, replaced momentarily by a shocked expression that unfortunately didn’t last. He pursed his lips and advanced on her with purpose. The look on his face could only be described as determined.
“Oh, you have done it now,” he said.

It's time for some spanking hotness with Saturday Spankings!

I can't believe it's another week gone already but here we are, ready to share another eight sentences. I can't wait to read everyone's snippets for this week. I've chosen a piece from A Lie Uraveled.

In this piece Destiny is unimpressed that Justin think he has any rights to Sophia. She believed she had every right to keep her from him.

“She isn’t our child. She’s my child! You might have been the sperm donor but that’s all! You have no-one to blame but yourself that you missed out on being a father to Sophia. Anyway, she didn’t need you all those years and she doesn’t need you now.”
“That’s debatable I think.”
Destiny pulled her arm back and went to slap him but he caught her wrist. Once again she found herself face down, staring at her fluffy family room rug. “Stop it! You can’t keep doing this,” she said.
“Apparently I can,”

The Blurb...

Destiny Bridges moves back to her old family home with her nine-year-old daughter Sophia. Sophia doesn’t fit in at school and Destiny pulls her out, deciding to homeschool the wayward child. Her world spins on it’s axis though when she opens the door to find the new principal and Sophia’s secret daddy standing there. He tells her in no uncertain terms that she needs to properly sort out the homeschooling or get her daughter back to school.

Justin Alexander moves back to the same home town with his daughter Lily-Grace. He has raised his sweet daughter by himself since his wife’s death more than five years earlier. He comes back home to be closer to his mother and to take up the new position of principal at Benton East Elementary. When Justin does some digging to find out why Sophia has had so much trouble fitting in at school, he uncovers what seems to be a huge lie. When he finds out that Destiny has kept his daughter from him for years, he is furious and he wastes no time in exacting that revenge on Destiny’s behind.

Can two estranged lovers reconnect and blend their families into one? Probably not without some order that Justin is determined to bring to their lives.

Here's an excerpt...

His fingers were in the waist band of her jeans. Thankfully this particular pair were practically painted on; he wouldn’t get them down easily. When his hand snaked around the front, she squeaked.
“Stop,” she said, trying to wriggle out of his grasp. His knuckles were on the bare skin of her belly and it was doing things to her. She hadn’t felt that tingly feeling for a very long time. Did she want Justin to stop what he was doing or not? The decision wasn’t hers apparently because once he had the button undone, his hand moved; it didn’t matter, the fire was well and truly lit.
“Hold still, Destiny, or I’ll make you hold still,” Justin said, yanking the jeans down to her knees. Unfortunately for her but fortunately for him, her panties went with them.
“Justin, I mean it, stop!” She knew he had one thing on his mind, punishment. Unfortunately, her body had other ideas. “It’s not my fault!”
“You never thought anything was ever your fault and I’m not surprised that nothing’s changed.” His hand landed on each of her wriggling cheeks.
“Ow! Stop that!” She didn’t want to yell but she couldn’t help it. The man was relentless; his hand fell heavily over and over. “It wasn’t my fault though, it wasn’t. You cheated on me.” The spanking stopped.
“What do you mean I cheated on you? I have never ever cheated on you. I’ve never cheated on anybody, Destiny. That isn’t me, I wouldn’t do that. You’re the one who wrote me a letter to tell me you found someone else!”

Where have all the retweets gone?

Twitter has made a change in your settings which you probably haven’t even realized. It may alter the amount of retweets you are getting if you don’t know that it’s there.

Since the very first time that my first book was in the works, I started to build my following on Twitter. Every day, the first thing I did was to go on to twitter and follow as many people was they would let me. Even though I had maybe only a hundred or so followers, I copied what other authors seemed to be doing. I retweeted and retweeted some more, trying to help other authors while at the same time trying to build some loyal followers of my own.

By the time my book actually came out I was tweeting like my life depended on it. This was really my only way of getting my book out there. It was where I came into contact with some of the great authors that I call friends today. I won’t name anyone because it just singles people out and I don’t want to do that and it’s not the point of this blog post. Stay with me I’m getting to that.

Today I have over 11,000 followers on Twitter. When my first book after a long break came out, it did very well and I believe my followers on Twitter as well as people who shared on Facebook and were who generously offered me places on their blogs helped with that. I am so appreciative of the help that authors give each other.  When the next two books came out after that they didn’t quite as well even though they had the same support from other authors, sharing on Facebook and offering me places on their blogs. I don't believe it has anything to do with that and I do realize that it could just be the books themselves and people’s tastes. As I said before, this blog post is about TWITTER and the changes it has made in the last couple of months. These changes appear to have made my retweets drop considerably.

On the 18th August, 2016 TWITTER started to roll out a new selection in our notification centre. When I realized something was different with my notifications, I went looking. What I found was a selection I had never seen before. How did I do this? Let’s start at the beginning:

  • First I clicked my profile picture on Twitter. (The small picture in the top right hand corner)
  • Next, I scrolled down until I found, “settings” click this.
  • That brought up a list on the left hand side of the page headed “Account”.
  • I clicked on the “notification” selection.
  • Now you have it, the “Filter tweets by” page. This is what I believe is causing all the trouble for me. Both of mine had been automatically selected for me, I unchecked both.

What do these buttons do? They filter (obviously, I know, I am a genius), what you see. I don’t know what criteria they use for filtering tweets but if you are not seeing everything that your followers are tweeting, then chances are, they are not seeing all of yours either.

While we’re talking about TWITTER, here’s a few of my tips that I learned along the way…

  • If someone retweets your tweet, repay them by retweeting something of THEIRS.
  • Make it easier for people to retweet you. Keep a fresh pinned tweet at the top of your page.
  • While it’s great to support as many authors as possible, don’t forget the people that are selling things other than books. They are usually incredibly giving and it helps to widen your circles any way you can.

Feel free to ask questions, I’ll be happy to help if I can. I am in no way an expert at this, I just thought it might be helpful to talk about a few problems I had encountered. If anyone can shed any light on how to counteract this problem I would be over the moon to hear it.

It's time for some spanking hotness!

It feels good to be back with everyone again and I just loved reading all of your spicy tidbits last week.
This week for my eight sentences, I'm sharing the morning after Sage and Cliff's first hot night together.  Sometimes when friends sleep together it gets awkward...

“I did have a great time last night, you are a very good lo—you’re good at sex,” she said bluntly.
“Oh, you are cruising for it, little girl.” He shook his head and narrowed his eyes as he tried to figure out what on earth was going on in her head.
“And there we have it, little girl. You still think of me as a child.”
“I think of you as a very womanly woman who is acting very much like a rude child and who if not very careful, is going to end up being treated like one. Do you understand what I’m saying?”
Sage’s face blushed as pink as her tank top. “Yes, I’m sorry if you thought I was being rude. I guess, well, I guess I’m just not very good at this one, night—”
“You better not finish that sentence. That is not what that was.”

Excerpt

Cliff slapped her bottom hard. This was escalating fast and she wasn’t going to be able to stop it. It didn’t hurt to try though. “You can’t spank me because I’m upset! Please, Cliff!”
The screen door squealed and then banged shut behind them as he strode into the living room and up the stairs to the bedroom. She tried to fight; to kick and wriggle, but she was held firm. Sage punched the solid back which only earned her another hard slap.
“I’m not spanking you…” Cliff started to say, stepping into the bedroom they had slept in together a short time ago.
“Well good, just because you’re my husband, doesn’t mean you can manhandle me whenever you want to,” Sage interrupted.
“I was going to say, I’m not going to spank you for being upset. I am going to spank you, because you deserve it,” Cliff said, returning the favour and cutting her off before she was finished. He let her down and sat on the bed, still keeping her firmly between his knees.
“I don’t want you to.” Sage tried to step away but Cliff had her in a vice like grip.
“Hmm. Do I care at this moment?” Cliff was almost talking to himself. “Nope, not interested.”
Within a moment, Sage was facing the carpet, her long brown hair over her face, in her eyes and puddling on the floor right next to Cliff’s dress shoes. She hadn’t noticed that he wasn’t wearing his boots. She’d never seen him in proper going out shoes. “Ow!” A hard smack landed on her rear end, the slight sting from the previous couple of whacks suddenly igniting the burn and starting a fire that was hard to think through. He wasn’t stopping at all, just a barrage of heavy handed slaps that didn’t let up. She couldn’t stop thinking, even though her legs were kicking and her voice was yelling blue murder; this man was wearing suit pants and nice shoes. This man who was always comfortable in jeans and cowboy boots had put on dress shoes and a suit and he’d done that for her. He was making an effort here. Could she have been wrong? Was he doing all this because he liked her? “Stop, Cliff! I think I get it now!”
“Sure you do.”
Instead of stopping, he paused, giving her a slight hope that he had finished, but he was just raising the dress she’d been wearing and lowering the scrap of lace that was all but covering her stinging bottom. “Oh please, Cliff, let me explain! Ahhh, please, that hurts!”
“Good, I’m glad it’s hurting because I wasn’t aiming to tickle you.” Every word spoken was punctuated by another swat to her bottom. “Let me let you in on a little secret. Not only women have feelings!”

I'm Back for Saturday Spankings!

I haven't visited Saturday Spankings for a while but I'm really glad to be back.  It's been a long time between drinks but I finally have something new to share. I'm also looking forward to reading everyone else's snippets.

The snippet I've chosen today is lighthearted. Things are not always as fluid and perfect as we'd like them to be in real life, especially when we've had a couple of drinks.

When she turned, Cliff was naked, except for his socks and a tangled pair of jeans at his ankles. He grabbed at one side and then the other, hopping up and down while he did an indelicate dance of desperation, trying to free himself from his denim trap.
Sage giggled, wanting to help but not quite knowing what she could do.
“Funny is it?” he asked with shortened breath.
“Pretty much.” Sage jumped when his hand shot out and slapped her naked bottom. She was still smiling though. “Ooh, that hurt.”

Excerpt:

“That—does—it.” Cliff advanced on Sage with purpose.
She backed slowly away but his intention was shining clearly in his eyes. “I wasn’t going to shoot you; I was just trying to scare you away.” She panicked and her voice rose an octave.
“Save it.”
The phone rang again and she took a step towards it.
“That’s the last thing you want to do.”
“I have to get it; it might be important.”
Cliff was on her now. He turned her around and bent her over the well padded sofa. “I’m going to go with the gut instinct I had when I first read this stupid want ad, I’m going to spank some sense into your stubborn backside. Then we’re going to talk, and listen to each other and you are going to tell me the truth, otherwise we’ll start again right here.”
Sage struggled, trying desperately to get away. “Stop, you can’t do this.”
“Now that’s funny, seems to me like I already am doing this.” His left arm pinned her firmly while his right arm took aim. He ignored her protests and dodged her kicking feet as he brought his hand down sharply on the seat of her jeans. “There are so many reasons I want to spank you right now that I can’t count,” he said, his hand still bouncing off her wriggling rear.
“Go ahead then, doesn’t bother me, when you’re done, I’ll still have to do what I have to do.” Sage kept fighting even though she knew her struggles were futile.
“Keep it up.”
“That’s it?” Every smack was thudding heavily but she couldn’t really say it was hurting her very much, except for the irreparable damage that was being done to her assaulted pride. “That’s all
you got?” Maybe if he realized this was pointless, he would stop.
“No, clearly if you’re still smarting off you need more; or maybe your pants are just too thick.”
Seriously? Did the man read minds? “No, they’re not.” Sage let go of the cushions she’d been clutching and tried to hang onto the waist band of her jeans but she was too late, he’d already unbuttoned and unzipped them and they were going south. All she could do was try and keep her panties up but it seemed he had no intention of removing those anyway. His hand was once again
clapping off her now burning bottom and the thin layer of her underwear was no protection at all.
“Please, Cliff, please, it hurts.” It really did, she hated though that she was such a baby with pain.

Why couldn’t she just stick it out without giving in?

Time for Saturday Spankings!

Good morning Saturday Spankers! Today I'm going to share from my latest book, the fourth in the second season of Corbin's Bend, The One She LOVES! This is the story of Carol and Crystal.

The first part of this snippet can be seen here on the Corbin's Bend blog. This snippet follows directly after.

Being the head of a domestic discipline relationship wasn’t always easy. She wanted Carol to be her own person and know that she could have her say, but sometimes you had to take a stand. If you couldn’t get to the bottom of something one way, it was time to get there another. “Get out.” Crystal folded her arms and narrowed her eyes.

“Make me.”

And sometimes you were issued a challenge that was just too tempting to ignore. She saw Carol’s eyes widen and she clutched the bedding to her throat in an effort to suck back that last statement. “Too late little girl,” she said, snatching the bedclothes and dragging them away.

“Stop, Cryssy. I’m sorry!” Carol wailed.

Blurb:

Carol and Crystal love the lives they share in Corbin's Bend with their nine year old daughter, Brianna. Carol is a taken in hand bundle of fun but she is not a Susie homemaker. Their house is often times a mess. She'd rather spend time living life than cleaning. She loves Crystal and Brianna and she loves spending time with her friends. She often finds herself over her girlfriend's knee for a bare bottomed spanking for getting her priorities wrong.

Crystal is a fire-fighter and the head of their loving home. She's fit, neat and organized. Apart from her career, Carol and Brianna are her world, and while she knows friendships are important, she feels somewhat threatened by how much her girl shares with her friends and not with her.

When Carol decides she wants a baby, it throws their house into a spin. Crystal isn't sure and wants to wait. When Carol's three naughty friends from Leading the Way (4th in the Corbin's Bend Series) see how disappointed their friend is, they help the young mom go on a sperm search with hilarious results. Only problem is, Crystal knows nothing about their hijinks. Can a punishment fix this mess? Or will what Crystal sees as disloyalty, tear them apart?

Monkey Business on Saturday Spankings!

Happy Saturday everyone! Today for my snippet I'm going to share a little more of Monkey Business.

Last week, Summer was trying to explain why she hadn't driven her car to work, but it wasn't making a lot of sense. Ben, sensing something wasn't right kept pushing. Finally Summer admits that she couldn't drive because she'd been drinking at a club.

Summer picked up her bag, it was time to get out of there. The look that Ben gave her was rattled her equilibrium.
“Not yet.” He narrowed his eyes at her. “How old do you have to be to get into this club you went to Summer?”
          “Twenty one.”
          “How old are you?”
          “Almost twenty.”
          “Where is it?”
          “Where's what?”
          “The fake ID.”

Blurb:

Summer receives the opportunity of a lifetime when she scores a placement in a volunteer program in a zoo.

Ben, as Summer’s mentor sees a bright and talented young woman who needs some structure and discipline.

Will Ben be able to help Summer reach her potential? Has Summer met her match?

Excerpt:

In this excerpt, Summer is trying hard to get to work on time with her friend Poppy in tow, but things don't go according to plan...

Summer couldn't believe that they actually managed to get out of the house on time. Early even. She'd had a weird feeling that something was going to go wrong although she couldn't quite put her finger on what exactly that was. Maybe that wasn't unusual considering she if it was going to happen it hadn't happened yet.

          “What's wrong?”

“Nothing really, I guess, I don't know. I was so excited about today and now I just feel weird, like something's off.”

“Um thanks, I love you too.”

“I didn't mean you Pops. I can't explain it.” The words were no sooner out of her mouth when Summer heard a siren behind her.

“Uh oh.” Poppy said. Did you just run a red light or something?”

“No. I've been very careful.” Summer carefully pulled over and waited for the officer to come over to the car.

He tapped on the closed window. “Open please.” His voice was muffled through the glass but she heard what he said and was quick to comply.

“Is there a problem Officer?” she asked with a shaky voice.           “Im afraid there is Miss. License and registration please.”           Summer opened the glove compartment and produced both. She'd been listening when she was told to keep her papers close.

“Step out of the car M'am.” he said.

“Why? I didn't do anything.” Summer wasn't trying to be difficult and her tone wasn't rude in anyway, she just didn't understand, she'd been careful.

           “Step. Out. Of. The car.”

“I don't think we're being punked here Sum,  you better do it.”

“You can leave the vehicle too Miss.”

“Am I in trouble?” Summer asked. “I didn't do anything.”

“This time.  Miss you have unpaid fines, your license has been suspended.”

“Oh no! The fines. I completely forgot!”

“I'm sorry Miss, but I can't let you drive this car until you pay your fines and have your license reinstated.”

“But I have to. You don't understand! I have to get to work.”

“I'm sorry Miss, rules are rules.”

Summer burst into tears. “If you let me drive to work just this once I can pay the fines and I won't drive my car again until I know the payments clear.”

              “No driving.”

“Can I drive the car?” Poppy asked.

“Do you have your license?” Summer looked at Poppy hopefully. She was going to be late on the single most important day ever. Tears rolled down her face. Not because Ben was going to be angry, although he was going to be angry, that was for sure but she was more upset that she'd let him down. Ben, Cher and everyone else that got involved in something that had been her idea.

“Well not on me exactly.” Poppy winced at Summer, rubbing her friend's arm to try and comfort her.  “I didn't think I was going to need it but I promise Officer I do have one.”

“You can't drive a car unless you have your license on you.”

“Ok, here's the thing. We have a problem. A big problem. We need to get to the zoo and we need to do it quickly,” Pops said.

“That's your problem Miss, not mine.”

Summer just cried harder.  Not only were they late but Pops was going to keep arguing with this highway patrol guy until he arrested them.  “Pops, it's ok.”

“No I know it doesn't have to be your problem but I know that you wouldn't have chosen this job if you didn't want to help people. I can see it in your face. You have kind eyes. Very blue.”

“I'll ask you to close up your car Miss. You can get someone to come and pick it up or you can have it towed.” he said ignoring Poppy's compliments.
