Today I have Thianna on my Blog!
“Dad, how common is a domestic discipline relationship?”
Book Description:
For Thianna D, reading and writing are as important as breathing and far more important than math or science. A storyteller from the time she could speak, she was always making up characters as a kid. As a teenager that turned to sci-fi and fantasy, as an adult to romance. It wasn’t until her fourth decade that she began writing erotic scenes within her stories.

Co Authors of The Journal, Liv Honeywell and Domitri Xavier are on my blog today. Come and meet them!
Today I'm happy to have with me Liv Honeywell and Domitri Xavier, the hot BDSM co authors of The Journal. Welcome guys!
Thank you, Constance. We’re really happy to be here and thank you for having us .
Back Cover Copy:
“Come to my study at eight o’clock
sharp. Dress for dinner. Wear high heels and put on that dress –
you know what I expect of you.”
When the order comes Livia is torn
between anticipation and dread.
Does he know? How could he possibly
know what she has done? And how can she find the words and the
courage to tell him?
As eight o’clock edges ever nearer,
Livia waits outside the study door, trembling; uncertain of what she
will find when she comes face to face with her Master.
If he knows… If he does, there
will be consequences. There is no doubt about that.
What will be the price for her moment
of disobedience?

I'm curious about how you got started. Who had the first idea for this story?
Domitri: Liv and I met about 12 years
ago but most of that time I wasn't aware that she was a writer. About
a year ago, Liv contacted me with the idea of writing something
together and I responded with the first chapter of the book. For
various reasons almost a year went by before we got down to it
seriously. In general, during the writing process, I was very keen to
move the story on and equally excited to read Liv's responses
(as she, of course, was to read mine!).
The idea was mine, the plot shifts were
mine, and all Liv had to do was react. And how beautifully she did.
Liv: Good gracious, is something wrong? Are you feeling quite well? That was an actual compliment you just gave me. And a relatively long, proper answer. Who are you, and what have you done with Domitri?
Domitri: Liv, I am surprised that you should remark upon my beneficence and generosity with my time. I'm absolutely known for it. Please keep your answers short. I'm sure nobody is very interested in what you have to say.
Liv: Ah, there we
go. Back to normal!
There’s not
really a lot to add to that. Once I got Domitri’s first section he
told me that he wanted me to write the same section from the slave’s
point of view, and that was it really. We were off and running.
Is there much conflict when you're writing with someone else?
Domitri: No. She just does as she's
told.
Again, since I was the one propelling
the plot and knew what that would be all along, it was Liv’s
frankly more difficult job, to respond to each twist and turn. We
respect each other's writing and even when we were proof reading for
the tenth time, there were never any cross words exchanged between
us.
Liv: I always do
as I’m told. I’m a good girl, practically angelic. I have to be
to put up with him!
No, seriously,
writing with Domitri was an absolute pleasure. I did find writing
some of the story difficult and had to really think about it, but
then again, Domitri was the one who had to worry about the plot and
where it was going. The whole thing just seemed to flow from start to
finish, and Domitri is right, we never had any disagreements at all.
Fingers crossed that the next one in the series is the same.
Domitri: Yes, on mature reflection, it was much more difficult for me.
Who has the final say on a scene if you DON'T agree?
Domitri: I wonder if you can possibly imagine who that might be.
Liv: I’m saying nothing!
That may have been a silly
question...
On the other side of the scale, I
would imagine if you hit a patch of writer's block it would be good
to have someone to bounce off. Do YOU find that?
Domitri: Yes. I don't think I did
have writer’s block. Liv reading out loud to me her
responses gave her a voice for the character which made it easier for
me to take control of the situation.
It's a very interesting question, and
you should congratulate yourself for asking it.
Why thank you Dimitri!
Liv: Domitri, how patronising can you be?
Domitri: That’s not being patronising. Little ladies deserve a pat on the head when they’ve done something well.
Liv: I do apologise for him, Constance. Anyway, back to the question. I never had writer’s block while we were writing The Journal. Some of the situations Domitri presented me with almost forced a response out of me. I reacted instinctively and then poured it onto the page. And the way he controlled everything, I actually felt submissive and that gave me so much to do with it all, so much to react to. That’s why I didn't get writer's block. And the only thing I had to do was respond. I didn’t have to worry at all about the plot or think what came next. It wasn’t up to me.
Domitri has helped me a lot though, if I’ve had writer’s block when working on other stories or guest posts, so having someone to throw ideas around with is definitely a good thing.
Domitri: Good girl.
Did you write much of yourself into your characters?
Domitri: Some. In the book the slave takes a peek at my private journal. For me, as a Master, this would mean that the slave, after having been given a chance to explain herself, would almost certainly have been dismissed from my service. I have unbend-able rules and if they are broken, the cost is very high. These rules are not random but very carefully thought out to test the obedience of my slave. If they are broken, then the trust has gone and the relationship would be at an end.
Liv: I had to do a lot of thinking about how I would react to some of the situations in the book before I could write as the slave, so to some extent I did, yes.
So apart from the obvious BDSM elements, would you say there was a little humour in your story?
Domitri: Not on this occasion, no. I do write a lot of light comedy but this certainly doesn't fall into that category. A serious incident had taken place and that needed to be reflected in the writing. My character had to control his rage at what had happened... No good Master delivers punishment in anger.
Liv: I love comedy but, like Domitri said, this is really quite a serious book. The slave has done something absolutely forbidden and her Master wants the truth. He actually says; “I want to ask you something. If you lie to me or try to hide the truth even a little, we're done, okay? We will be over.” I know how that made me feel when I read it in the first draft and that really does leave little room for humour. That’s not (or certainly shouldn’t be) an often trotted out threat. If he feels he’s got to say something like that, she really is in the deepest trouble she could possibly be in. She is, of course, going to tell the truth because of the situation but also because she is a very honest person and she wouldn’t lie to him anyway; but no matter what she says in reply, no matter what reasons or justification she thinks she had, they both know she’s going to be thoroughly punished for what she has done. The Journal couldn’t be described as a humorous book, though it does lighten at the end. That doesn’t mean none of the others in the series will have any humour though.
What's next for you two?
Domitri: Ah! We are writing a series of books with the generic title, Her Master’s Voice. Each will take as its starting point, one of the poems already published on http://domitrixavier.wordpress.com, and the next one is to be set to the poem Shreds. By all means take a look for yourself.
Liv: Yes, Domitri writes such beautiful poetry. We were almost done with the first draft of The Journal and I realised the story line was quite similar to one of his poems, so I suggested we print it at the start of the book. Then I had the idea to write a series of books either based on or inspired by his poems, and he came up with the series title.
Ok I usually ask people four quick questions so we can get to know you. Want to play?
Domitri: Oh I think we can do that.
What's your favourite food?
Domitri: Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, and for dessert, Waitrose white chocolate tiramisu, licked from the back of my personal assistant, Fifi de Manique.
Liv: Oh you want me to pick only one? Well I wouldn’t complain if presented with what Domitri mentioned – not that he ever lets me get anywhere near the white chocolate tiramisu, you understand! I love Italian food too and my favourite is something I make occasionally – chicken and bacon pasta with sunblush tomatoes and green pesto. Yummm. For dessert? After that it would have to be something light, so probably blueberry cheesecake.
Domitri: My God, you do go on.
Who would you pick to play you in a movie?
Domitri: Meryl Streep
Liv: *Looks at Domitri* Ah yes, I can see the obvious resemblance. For me, Alex Kingston because of the hair, and apparently, I look like her too.
If you could live anywhere on earth where would that be?
Domitri: A gentleman’s home is his castle. He has no business living anywhere else.
Liv: I’d love to live near the sea
somewhere so I could walk on the beach every day.
Lastly, do you have an excerpt from The
Journal you'd like to share with us?
We certainly do. Here’s a little from
near the beginning of the book:
"Look at me."
The words I had been half hoping for,
half dreading. Would he be able to tell what I was thinking? I opened
my eyes and looked up at him, letting him see how vulnerable I was
before him and how much I wanted to please him. The expression on his
face almost stopped my breath. There was so much love in his eyes,
such emotion, and I swallowed against the lump in my throat and
blinked back tears of joy mixed sickeningly with guilt. How very much
I loved this man, and what I had done to him…
He swept me into his arms and kissed me
hard, his hands roaming my body again. Our tongues tangled; his
determinedly invading my mouth, mine softly yielding to his touch. I
leaned against him, wishing that I could hold him too. I pressed my
body against his, wanting to show him how much he meant to me, hoping
that would be enough.
He broke the kiss and moved slightly,
his hand slipping between our bodies to tease me between my legs
again. I was soaking wet. How could I be otherwise? He did not even
need to touch me to provoke this reaction. When we were together, his
presence was enough and, when apart, just the thought of him was all
I needed. My body was not mine any more. It responded to him, ached
for him, whether I would wish it or not. I could deny him nothing.
He lifted his hand to my mouth; his
fingers wet, and gently painted my lips with my own juices. I tasted
my arousal on my tongue but would have no more dared to wipe it away,
than I would think to say ‘no’ to him. I stood with my mouth
open, my juices trickling down my chin, awaiting his pleasure.
He pressed his fingers further into my
mouth, probing deeply and I tried to relax, to let him penetrate
where he would, but I choked as his finger reached the back of my
mouth. “No,” he yelled and I shrank back, mortified that I had
not been able to give him what he required of me. I hurried to open
my mouth again, concentrating hard on relaxing my throat, and this
time I was fully open to him.
He removed his hand from my mouth and
lifted my dress, stroking and exploring my breasts. I licked his
fingers when asked and he circled my nipples so lightly and tenderly
that it was almost difficult to believe that he could ever hurt me.
His touch on my breasts roughened and
he gripped them tightly, crushing my nipples. I closed my eyes, torn
once again between pain and pleasure; so aroused it was close to
unbearable. My knees weakened and I leaned against him, my head
resting against his shoulder. I could feel the hard length of his
cock pressing against my hip and I moved just a little against it,
hoping, despite what I’d done, that this time he would use my body;
that I would feel him deep inside me.
Wow that was hot! I don't know about everyone else but I can't wait to read more. Thank you so much for visiting with me today. I hope you enjoyed yourselves. I know I did!
Liv: Oh we did! We had such a lot of fun answering the questions. You even managed to get Mr Grumpypants in a good mood! Thank you for having us.
Domitri: My dear Constance, it has been a pleasure to answer such intelligent and searching questions.
Thank you Domitri! You're both very welcome. I hope you'll come back and visit when the next book in your series comes out. I'd love to hear all about it.

Saturday Spankings!!!
Today for my snippet I’m going to share something from His Firm Guidance. In this scene Whitney is pleasuring herself while imagining what Tyler saw and felt when they’d stopped at the motel on the way to his parent’s house. Now that was a spanking she’d enjoyed…
She wondered what Tyler must have seen and felt while he was spanking her that night. Her soft bottom cheeks flattening and bouncing with each spank? Could he feel the heat of her skin as her bottom coloured under his hand? He must have been able to see her glistening girly parts as she squirmed around on his lap. SHE could almost feel that sting AND when he'd fingered her with one hand while spanking her with the other…
It came on her quickly. Blood rushed through her veins en route to
her sensitive core.

Saturday Spankings!
This is slightly longer than eight sentences but that’s just because this is the last excerpt from The Grass Could Be Greener so I hope none of you mind, especially you Mistress Blake. I didn’t want to break this scene. It was one of my favourites to write. This scene follows on from last week where Sarah was remembering a time when Joe helped her to feel better when her self esteem was low. After splattering her bottom with another round of smacks he leads her over to the mirror to show her why he finds her beautiful.
Positioned in front of the mirror with Joe behind her, Sarah did her best to look atherself, but it wasn’t easy. She smiled when he ran both hands down her shiny locks.
“I love your hair,” he said, pulling his fingertips down a long strand, straightening the curl as he went until finally he came to the ends just above her warm just spanked bottom.
The adoring treatment of her hair with the loving look he gave her melted her enough that when his hands move back up to her face she was relaxed enough to listen.
“These tiny creases here and here?” he said, touching the small lines near her eyes and mouth with a feather-like touch, “are there because you smile. A lot. You smile at your children when you’re teaching them, when you’re listening to them and laughing.”
“Oh Joe,” she said, but the hands had moved down her neck and settled to cup each breast.
“I love these breasts. Warm and full. I love the way your nipples still harden like this,” He pinched the hardened nubs lightly. “when you’re aroused.”
“Joe!” she said, blushing furiously.
He smiled widely. “I love that you still flush with embarrassment at the slightest little thing.” His hands trailed down her belly, stopping to cradle her soft flesh. “This is where our babies grew, safe and warm in their mother’s body. You grew four whole human beings in here.”
“They’re not in there anymore, Joe,” she said, jumping as his hand clapped off her bottom renewing the sting that had just started to fade.
“I love to feel your curves,” he said, the tips of his fingers gliding from the gentle swell of her belly to tug at the neat line of curls on the delicate skin of her mons. He parted her lips and his fingers dipped inside her. “And this, always so wet and welcoming.”

Maddie Taylor, Sent to the Dungeon for Being Naughty!
Hi Maddie! So nice of you to find time to come and talk to us today.
Thank you so much for inviting me. This is my first blog spot and I am very excited.
You have two books published so far is that right?
Yes. I have 2 books in a planned 6
book series called Club Decadence. My debut book was Captain My
Captain and came out in March. You Said for ever is book 2 and
followed at the end of May.
I also have 3 more accepted for
publication by Blushing Books Publishing.
I believe you ran into a little bit of trouble with censorship. Would you like to tell us what happened?
Oh yes! Captain My Captain was flying
off the virtual shelves at Blushing Books Publishing and at Amazon.
I was thrilled. I had heard that new authors were lucky to sell 500
copies of a debut novel and mine had sold twice that many in just a
month. I even hit the Amazon’s Erotica top 100 at #72. I about
freaked I was so excited.
Then, along came book 2 suddenly my
sales rankings started to drop sink like a brick. I went from a
ranking consistently between 1200-3000 in May to 100,000 in June. I
couldn’t figure out what was happening and why.
Fortunately, Bethany, my very wise
publisher over at Blushing Books figured out the problem. My second
book had been tagged as ADULT. At the same time that same censor
(I’m not sure what else to call the busy bee at Amazon) went back
and tagged Captain as ADULT, too. The problem we found out was the
cover art was too sexy and suggestive. Here they are:
If you ask me, Book 1 is so much racier
than book 2 and it passed through on release without any problems.
It just goes to prove that there is no rhyme or reason to what gets
tagged and what doesn’t.
Can you even tell why they tagged it as
ADULT?
I had to look really close, too. See
her hand down his pants? Well its actually her fingers in his
waistband. That prompted the Amazon prude, I mean the nice person
working at Amazon, to look at Captain and the “O” face got me the
same treatment as well. Instant adult tag. Go directly to the
Amazon Dungeon for naughty authors, do not pass go, etc.
Let me take a minute to explain the
Dungeon. Unlike the dungeons in my novels, the Amazon version is no
fun for an author. Once a book is tagged it is blocked from all
those helpful tools on amazon like recommendations to readers,
customers who bought this item also bought, and in the search bar
you have to type the authors name and the title of the book to find
it. Just typing Maddie Taylor brought up no links to my books.
It was very frustrating. And to make
matters worse, the author and publisher are never even told when the
book gets tagged that way. Some other authors and publishers have
blogged about this as well. You can read more at
http://disciplinedwriter.com/?cat=3
So now the problem has been identified it's full steam ahead. Why don't you tell us about Captain, My Captain.
Yes. You Said Forever’s cover was
altered very slightly by raising the banner which hides the naughty
hand.
Amazon links now

Captain My Captain UK
Captain had to be changed entirely. How do you get rid of the “O” face and the hand on her breast? So here is the new cover. It is nice, but I wanted hot, sexy and steamy like my H/h in the book.
I really loved the first cover and was
very disappointed. It was my first book and very personal for me.
Fortunately, the original cover is still available on
www.blushingbooks.com.
And even
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/captain-my-captain-maddie-taylor/1115098203?ean=2940016749273
which is more proof of a widely varying industry standard.
My series is about a group of US Army
Special Forces soldiers aka Green Berets. They are strong, sexy
dominant men who are looking for their one, their special submissive.
In Captain My Captain, the hero is Tony “Cap” Rossi. He
commands the elite A Team of Green Berets through years of war in
Iraq and Afghanistan. The book begins when they retire and his men
follow their Captain to San Antonio, Texas to join him at the start
up of a private security business. There is lots of danger,
intrigue, and bad guys operating through a Mexican drug cartel.
As a side business, the six of them
open a private nightclub and you guessed right, it is a BDSM club.
So we get to watch these sexy men work and play. And do they ever
play.
Captain My Captain is a love story.
Cap finally claims Megan, a girl he has loved for 15 years. He has
kept his distance because he didn’t think it was fair to claim her
when his first priority was his job; a dangerous job that kept him
abroad for months and years on end with no guarantees he will return.
But when he comes home for good, the gloves are off. And so are
the bras and panties. LOL There is lots of spanking, both good girl
and bad girl spankings as well as Cap introducing an eager Megan into
the BDSM scene.
Do you think you write much of yourself into your characters?
Yes and no. Yes in that I think the
sass and humor is all me. I also like to play. I have been married
to my beloved for over two decades and have found that you have to
play and be happy. Life is too serious much of the time.
The no part is that I know that my
heroine’s are much braver than me. It is fantasy after all but I’m
sorry 20 swats with a Lexan paddle would have me yowling for mercy,
long before Megan ever cried uncle.
What made you choose to write Spanking Fiction?
That is my kink. I have always
fantasized about it. Even as a child, playing dolls with friends the
naughty girls got spanked. It’s funny though, because there was no
corporal punishment for me as a child. Other than two years of
Catholic school, but that’s a whole other story.
I wrote about my feelings on the
subject in You Said Forever:
… A spanking had an oddly calming
effect on her that often lingered for days, plus she loved the
aftercare. So, she often antagonized him to get the spanking she
knew she needed. As a college educated woman, this seemed
counterintuitive. Why not just ask for a spanking or go straight to
the aftercare? She had tried to research the psychology behind her
need for discipline, but had never come up with a convincing theory.
She’d had a happy childhood with loving parents; no abuse, neglect
or even any drama. When she’d asked her experienced Dom about it
he said; “Everybody’s wired differently, baby. No need to wonder
why, just buckle up and enjoy the ride.”
What is the thing you find hardest about writing this genre?
My mind is switched on all the time. I
get ideas constantly in the car driving, in the middle of the night,
and in the shower. I get a lot of ideas in the shower <blush>.
When I get an idea I have to write it down. So I have scenes
written on scrap paper in my car on napkins or I just pull out my
laptop and start writing.
The hardest part is learning the
business of writing, not the actual writing or the genre. I have
learned to use proofreading soft wear because I know typos drive
readers crazy. I have also learned to phone friend and send her my
story before its submitted. Sometimes a different set of eyes can
tell you what works and what doesn’t. And see what your eyes miss
because your brain is filling in what you wanted to write not what is
actually on the screen.
Can I give a big thank you to my beta
readers L.A. Cloutier and just recently Dinah McLeod? They both
helped me on my most recent submissions. L.A. has been a godsend.
As a new author we have teamed up to share thoughts, ideas, etc. And
of course, Victoria my editor over at Blushing Books is wonderful.
Her patience and feedback has been invaluable.
What's next for Maddie Taylor?
So many things. How much time do we
have? <Giggle>
A prequel to the Club Decadence series
called; Faithfully. It will be offered as a Kindle Select which
will be exclusive to Amazon for 90 days after its release. During
that time it will be offered for free for up to 5 days. Otherwise it
will be at a great low price. I am hoping that it will give readers
a taste for more Decadence.
Little Light of Mine, Book 3 will be
released sometime after Faithfully. It is Dex and Elena’s story
and has some very heart wrenching scenes like You Said Forever did.
Oh and Dex is a master with the single tail. I think fans will eat
up The Club’s sexy Master Dom with a spoon.
I also have a Victorian spanking
romance titled “Surrender Your Grace” that’s in the works. My
first venture out of my contemporary comfort zone that I hope
everyone will enjoy. Want a teaser? Can you say birch rod? Ouch.
Oh and The Gift, which is currently
exclusive to Bethany’s Woodshed right now. You can check out
chapter one for free at www.herwoodshed.com.
Or it will be released on www.blushingbooks.com
and Amazon this fall.
And finally, I have a Medieval time
travel in the works as well.
As you can see, my busy brain is full
of fantasy that I just got to find an outlet for before I kill my
poor exhausted husband.
Lastly, five quick questions so we can
get to know you a little better.
Favorite TV show?
The Following. So dark and twisted. I love to hate Joe Carroll but love to love me some Kevin Bacon.
Favorite food?
Shrimp fettucini Alfredo; my guilty pleasure.
Most embarrassing moment?
I had to stop and think about that one
there are so many. I have it… My son’s best friend (an adult)
walked in the back door when I had a very inappropriate video playing
on my laptop. I couldn’t get it to stop as luck would have my
accursed laptop froze up just then. The oohs and aahs just echoed
through the room. Well after that we acted like nothing even
happened. That was over a year ago and I still see him several times
a week and we have never spoken of it. He doesn’t know I write
about that kind of thing. It would melt a few circuits in his 22
year old brain.
Hey! I was doing research… really!
Favorite author?
There are so many. But in this genre,
I’d have to say Cherise Sinclair. I fell in lust with Master Z in
the Shadowlands and have gone back to visit him many times and always
leave with damp panties. I’m such a naughty girl.
I just had to have a club full of Doms
of my very own. So thank you Cherise for inspiring Club Decadence.
When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up?
A lawyer. HA! Did
I veer off course or what? I’ve always thought corporal punishment
for offenders would be highly effective tool in our legal system. If
it works in some marriages its worth a try on those DUI repeat
offenders. I’ll even lend the bailiff our paddle.
Maybe I’ll write a book
about that.
Thanks so much for coming to talk to
us today Maddie. It's been fun and very informative.
Thanks for inviting me Constance. It was fun. Thank you also for reaching out to a new author with a friendly welcome, a sincere offer of advice and a wonderful platform to share my thoughts.

Come and Join Us For Saturday Spankings!
Today for my Saturday Spankings excerpt I’m sharing the eight sentences from The Grass Could Be Greener that follow last week. I hope you’re not sick of it but I hate to leave it in the middle. I hope you don’t mind , I went slightly over but a few of my sentences were really small.
“What you can’t do is lie about it.” Joe pulled her over his knee and brought his hand down sharply in a fluid movement, first to one cheek and then to the other.
“If you need something, you have to say!”
“I’m sorry!” she wailed, mortified that he was staring at the very object of her displeasure, her fat bottom. She could only imagine how it wiggled and wobbled like a jello mould at Thanksgiving. It’d be the colour of cranberry jello by the time he was finished with it. “Yeow, Joe, it hurts!”
“There is no reason you have to pretend you’re sick to get out of church!” Several more hard smacks landed on the wiggling target.
“Stop, Joe, please!” she said, kicking her legs wildly in a vain attempt to get away from that punishing hand.
“We have to trust each other,” he lectured, punctuating each word with a sharp whack to each thigh.
“I will, Joe, please!” she said “Please.”

Come and Join Us For Some Saturday Spanking Snippets!
Saturday Spankings is a blog hop where writers share eight sentences of their work. Today I’m continuing from where I left off last week with The Grass Could Be Greener.
“Why would you lie? “
“You know why.”
“If I ask you a question, it’s because I want to hear you answer it.”
“Nothing fits me! I hate still having to wear maternity dresses to church.”
“Why on earth didn’t you tell me that you needed clothes?”
“I just couldn’t. I couldn’t say to you that I was so fat that I had nothing to wear. I don’t even want bigger clothes! I just want to fit into my old clothes.”
“You can say anything to me,” Joe said with a thread of emotion cutting into his
normally clear voice.
“I know,” she said. The hurt in his voice was making her feel terrible.
